French & Indian War Commemoration 250 Years

PETIT SUTLER

IPetit Sutlern the 18th Century, a petit sutler or “petty sutler” was a merchant who sold goods to soldiers at military encampments.

The Petit Sutler shop, located in the Visitor Center, is open during regular hours and special event weekends. It offers a wide variety of books, colonial toys and games, reproduction pottery and glassware, limited edition prints and other products for purchase.

When you choose an item from the Petit Sutler, you are not merely shopping. You are helping to preserve a legacy. The items offered for sale are often inspired by — or reproductions of — irreplaceable artifacts in historical collections.

Payable by cash, check, MasterCard or Visa, your purchases support Fort Dobbs' preservation, research and educational programs. Thank you, on behalf of generations to come!
